Since October 2015 Andreas Hammer is the Chairman of the Tesat-Spacecom Executive Board. From July 2014 to September 2015 he served as Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President Corporate Secretary at Airbus Defence & Space. Before that, from October 2012 to July 2014, he lead as Senior Vice President the central staff functions and the Chief Executive Office at Cassidian.
In 1985 his career started in the army. In 1996 he is company commander of the Radio Company of the Army Forces Command of the Armed Forces. In 1998 he visited the General Staff Course of the Army at the Staff College, he closes 2000 as General Staff Officer. In 2002 he left the army in the rank of lieutenant colonel in the General Staff and joins the private sector. This is followed by positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM before he works first time in 2005 for the EADS - later Airbus Group.
Since July 2017 Dr. Marc Steckling was in the position of Chief Programs Officer at Tesat-Spacecom. Since 01.12.2018, he is in the position of CEO & chairman of the board.
Since 1999, he has held the position of Head of Electronic Products in Space Systems and Space Equipment, where he has gained extensive experience in the areas of Programs, Engineering, Production, Verification & Test. Before he came to Backnang, Dr. Steckling was Head of Lean Management at Airbus Defense & Space.
Since March 2016 Peter Kapell is responsible for the entire financial sector of Tesat-Spacecom. Since 1999 in the controlling of the space sector in Airbus he accompanied various management positions since 2001. According to his missions abroad at Airbus in Washington D.C. (USA) and Toulouse (France), he lead from 2006 to 2012 as "Head of Direct Material" the areas purchasing, materials management, logistics and customs clearance at Astrium in Germany. In 2012, Peter Kapell joined the division "Defense & Military Aircraft" and was responsible for various financial areas in Engineering Controlling.
Ralf Zimmermann is Chief Programs Officer at TESAT since June 1, 2019. From 1988 on at Airbus, Zimmermann held the position of “Head of Radars and Microwave Payload” and “Head of National and Export Projects Germany” in the years from 2009 to 2019.
Prior to that, Ralf Zimmermann held various senior positions and was as “Head of ATV Production” responsible for the Automated Transfer Vehicle. Beyond, he was Project Manager for the “Columbus Ground Test Facilities” of the International Space Station.
Ralf Zimmermann is a certified Platinum Project Manager and nominee for Project Management Ambassador.
