Parts Agency @ ACCEDE on COTS use in space

Our TESAT Parts Agency participated at this weeks ACCEDE workshop from the European Space Agency ESA from 6. to 8. November. The conference has its focus on the use of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components and parts for use in space applications.

Over 250 experts, EEE and equipment manufacturers, and representatives of Primes and satellite manufacturers followed the call of this interesting conference, which was held for the first time.

On the first day, Dr. Frederik Kuechen held a talk on "Manufacturing guidelines for COTS use in space", on which Dr. Jens Haala followed on the second day with his presentation on "Space Equipment with COTS parts - from Design to Product".

Further, TESAT experts from the EEE Centre, represented by Dr. Daniela Staerk, participated in a panel session on "COTS technical issues and risc mitigations".

Thanks to the ESA for this interesting conference and we're already looking forward to the next one!
